OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Kalona-born Jackson Young, 22, was sentenced Wednesday to 300 months in prison, ten years’ release and paid $ 600 to the Crime Victim’s Fund for child pornography.
According to court records, an investigation into Young began in March 2019 after authorities received reports of Young’s interaction with minors in public while they were on parole on a sexual abuse conviction in Linn County.
After further investigation, two phones confiscated from Young revealed pictures and videos of child pornography and sexually explicit communication.
According to court records, Young knew his victims were under 18 when he forced them to engage in explicit behavior in order to create pornographic content.
The case has been investigated by both the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI and is being prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood by the US District Attorney’s Office in the southern district of Iowa.
