A court has ruled that Madeleine McCann suspects that Christian Brueckner has lost his probation offer and will have to serve the remaining time of his prison sentence behind bars.
The main suspect of the disappearance of the three-year-old in 2007 is currently in prison in the German city of Kiel for one year and nine months for drug trafficking.
He has already served two thirds of his sentence and theoretically has the right to early parole.
However, the regional court of Braunschweig announced today that he could not serve the rest of his suspended sentence after hearing the matter on Tuesday, citing his “multiple criminal records and failed probation”.
Brueckner’s parole on a previous case was revoked for guilty of several criminal offenses, including drug crimes and sexual acts against children, while on probation.
The court therefore said that if there was a relapse during his probationary period, a major relapse could be expected, Bild reported, adding that the court was unable to determine factors that could deter him from committing further crimes.
The news comes after reports in Germany on Monday that Brueckner freaked out in his cell after being banned from smoking and then broke his ribs on a wooden bed when his legs were kicked away by prison guards before his trial were.

Convicted rapist and pedophile Christian Brueckner, 43, will be seen publicly on Monday for the first time since he was named by the German police as the prime suspect for Madeleine’s disappearance when he was loaded into an ambulance by paramedics after being two in a court of law Broken ribs has hearing
Brueckner felt he was being manipulated by the police officers who banned him from smoking and was furious about being filmed and handcuffed before a trial, the report said.
In retaliation, he covered the surveillance cameras in his cell with yogurt and, according to the picture, blocked the toilet with paper.
When court officials entered the cell to arrest him, they put their hands on his belt and asked him to kneel so he could be handcuffed, Brueckner reportedly told his lawyer.
When he refused, the prison guards allegedly kicked his legs out from under him, causing him to fall on a wooden bed and fracturing two of his ribs.
The incident happened the day before police raided a new property where Brueckner once lived in connection with the case after receiving a tip from the public.
The convicted rapist and pedophile was rushed to hospital for treatment on Monday after the incident in court. The police are now also investigating the judicial officers involved in the incident.
His lawyer Friedrich Fulscher claims to have seen surveillance cameras showing the subsequent initial treatment of his client, which a police officer filmed on her cell phone.
According to the picture, the president of the district court should have requested the deletion of the footage.
When he was loaded into the ambulance on Monday, the 43-year-old Brueckner was seen in public for the first time since he was named by the German police as the main suspect for the three-year-old’s disappearance in the Algarve in 2007.
He was due to appear before a judge in Braunschweig for a probation hearing on an independent drug charge, but sparked the incident about 40 minutes after arriving with his angry reaction to being filmed and chained.
The hearing – which started two hours late – dealt with the possibility that Briicker’s remaining prison sentence, which he is currently serving for drug trafficking in Keil, will be suspended.
Since Brueckner was sentenced to seven years imprisonment for rape in a separate trial, Bild says he will likely be released on parole.

Police raided new property in Germany on Tuesday, local media said months after McCann’s suspected kidnappers were dug up nearby in search of evidence.
Officers equipped with sniffer dogs and a mobile police station climbed into a house near Hanover where suspect Christian Brueckner once lived after receiving a tip from a member of the public.
Authorities did not disclose the nature of the lead, but local newspaper Neue Presse said it was linked to the Madeleine case.
However, the current residents of the house turned out to be “perfectly pristine,” and the eight hour search has not yet yielded a breakthrough.
The prosecutor told Calenberger Online News that the search had substantiated their “gut feeling” that the hint was wrong, and added that the investigation was still ongoing.

This year the police are using rakes to search a parcel in Hanover where evidence was removed from a vegetable garden that was once inhabited by Brücker
Regarding the incident on Monday, a source at the court told The Sun, “He got angry about being filmed and complaining. He reacted angrily, and when he refused to put on the shackles, there was a more violent argument and he was injured. ‘
Fulscher told the newspaper that the guards filmed him on a monitor and were asked to stop by Brueckner.
‘They refused and an argument started. This continued and they attacked my client with a baton after he refused to put on the prison shackles. He was seriously injured and had two broken ribs. ‘The lawyer said.
‘It was behavior that was not expected from the guards. I had to call in a judge to make sure the footage was deleted.
“Yes, he made his cell dirty, but he was understandably angry about being filmed.”
Fulscher has filed a criminal complaint against the guards for allegedly beating his client.
The court claimed that Brückner “fell over” after arriving at the court from his prison in Kiel.
A prison guard reportedly told the arriving paramedics that “someone was causing a riot”.
He was pictured on Monday as he was taken back to a waiting ambulance after treatment in A&E to be taken back into custody.
A court spokesman said at the time: “The exact sequence of events is now under investigation. With this in mind, we cannot comment on the details. ‘
