Thomas Tuchel has assured Chelsea fans that they will do whatever it takes to beat Tottenham next week after the German previously admitted having a weakness for his bitter rivals.
In 2016, Tuchel’s Borussia Dortmund moved Spurs to the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League and spoke of his affection for the White Hart Lane club, which grew up in the Bavarian city of Krumbach.
“As a little kid in my garden when I was playing [football] I always was [playing] However, as a Bundesliga team, there was one game when I played as Tottenham Hotspur because I liked the name so much, ”he said in 2016.

Tuchel insisted that he now fully understood the bitter rivalry between the two London clubs

However, Tuchel was determined not to get off the wrong foot with Chelsea fans and stated his alleged affection for Spurs in his Thursday afternoon press conference.
He said: ‘I want to be very honest because we played the Europa League game with Dortmund and Tottenham and I just explained it.
