Danny Jackson specializes in capturing honest photos of people who go about their daily lives on the streets of Southend and by the seaside near where he lives.
His work is about highlighting the “eccentricity” of the people in his home country and he has decided to publish this street series as people cannot go out as much during the lockdown.
Danny said, “I really miss being out and photographing people who are going for their lives.
“I still take my camera with me everywhere, for example when I go for a walk with my dog. But I miss seeing life and things – there is less photographed.
“When I couldn’t go out, I would take a look at old photos I took in the days before Covid.
“I wanted to publish these photos now to bring people together during the lockdown, make them smile and remind them that hopefully life will get back to normal soon.”
