The Russian hypersonic missile expert is arrested on suspicion of disclosing top secret data to the West

One of Vladimir Putin’s leading experts on top-secret hypersonic missiles was arrested on suspicion of high treason.
It is feared that 63-year-old associate professor Anatoly Gubanov has passed on highly classified data on aviation design to the West.
The respected physicist was detained in Moscow by the Russian FSB counterintelligence service and, if convicted, faces a prison sentence of between 12 and 20 years.
“According to the investigation, Gubanov handed over classified data on the development of aviation abroad,” said a law enforcement agency.
It is known that the leading scientist worked with Western experts on an international project called Hexafly-Int, which aimed to develop a high-speed passenger aircraft that runs on hydrogen.
