A cyclist sparked outrage in Belgium after knocking over a child with his knee, which blocked his path before he left.
The shocking moment when the cyclist purposely stuck out his knee to hit the girl was captured in a video taped by her father.
The impatient cyclist has now been identified by the police, said the public prosecutor in Liege.
The footage was taken on Christmas Day in a nature park in Baraque Michel, Belgium and showed the girl happily walking with a woman and another child before being hit by the cyclist coming out of a bend on the snow-covered road.
Instead of waiting for the young girl to be moved out of the way, the man sends her into the cold, wet ground. The child, reported by local media as a five-year-old named Neïa, was unharmed.
