Uber is selling its autonomous vehicle development arm to Aurora Innovation as the hail shipping company experienced a sharp decline in its business due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Aurora will acquire the people and technology behind Uber’s Advanced Technologies Group in an equity transaction, the company announced on Monday. Uber will invest $ 400 million in Aurora, and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi will join Aurora’s board of directors.
