Amazon.com said it had approximately 1 million employees in the third quarter after hiring 250,000 people. This is part of a growth spurt triggered by booming ecommerce sales over the year Coronavirus pandemic and a milestone for a company founded by Jeff Bezos in 1995 as an online bookseller.
