Gabby Agbonlahor has announced that he was once racially abused by a 12-year-old fan in the cave after speaking out against Millwall fans who booed players who suffered a knee in the fight against racism.
With 2,000 fans in the Millwall vs Derby County game on Saturday, it was also the first time fans have been there since footballers grabbed their knee before the game.
As the game against Derby was about to begin, video footage from the ground shows there was a large number of aggressive boos from the stands as the players kneeled down.

Gabby Agbonlahor has revealed that he was racially abused while playing in the cave once
On talkSPORTAgbonlahor said he wasn’t surprised the incident took place.
He said, “If there had been a stadium where I would say this would have happened if the fans went back in, it would be that stadium.
“When I played there, I was on the bench for an FA Cup game and was racially abused by 12- to 70-year-olds while warming up.
‘Right now I’m just looking at her like “why?” I just laughed at her. They know it’s normal to berate a player – you get that on every away court you go. But to bring races into play, it shows what kind of fans some of their fans are.
“If I were in this club, I would ask my agent to speak to the club tonight as I want to leave tomorrow. I would terminate my contract.
“I would say to my agent,” I did. I won’t play for the next month and January 1st will fix it with the club when I’m gone. “
‘It’s that simple. Because it was shocking to me. If those booing fans don’t believe why we’re taking the knee, then just don’t say anything. ‘
Since Millwall’s 1-0 defeat by Derby, the incident has been largely condemned in the aftermath.
Millwall released a club statement on Sunday saying: “Millwall Football Club was dismayed and saddened by the events that affected Saturday’s game against Derby County at The Den.”
