And boss Lampard praised the local striker for continuing to bloom, even under pressure to wear the coveted Chelsea No. 9 jersey.
“I’m very happy with his form and Tammy is offering a lot,” said Lampard. ‘We saw that the other day against West Ham and we’ve seen that whenever he played this season.
“Tammy and Olivier Giroud have given us a lot in their own way at different times. Now all he has to do is keep working and making progress.
‘Last season was a great, real breakthrough season for him in terms of the Premier League and Chelsea’s number 9 and there is more he can do.

“I am very happy with him.”
Chelsea will face Arsenal on Boxing Day at Emirates Stadium before Aston Villa takes place at Stamford Bridge on December 28th.
In two rapid fire games, Boss Lampard has to change his resources, which worries him more than usual about the fitness of his injury doubts.
Ben Chilwell’s ankle problem and Reece James’ knee problems call for late checkups while Hakim Ziyech has still failed to hit his hamstring injury.
“Hakim will not be fit for Arsenal but he is not a long-term problem,” said Lampard.
