Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil could get a chance to play first-team football this season as talks about a transfer to Fenerbahce pick up in January.

When Fenerbahce sporting director Emerb Belozoglu spoke about her desire to sign the 32-year-old, he noted that negotiations to conclude an agreement between all parties have made progress.
“Mesut Ozil has been one of the special players in the world for his position over the last 20 years,” the former Newcastle midfielder told Turkish media, as quoted by Sky Sports.
‘When this broadcast takes place, it will be a premiere. I see it as a very positive step for both our ward and our president, but I don’t think it will be easy. We have our own plans. And Mesut has a contract with his club.
‘He’s a superstar. We’re talking about a player who contributes to goals in every other game, regardless of which team he plays for. I would be very happy if Fenerbahce can have a player like that, especially when we’re on duty.
‘We had a meeting with him and his agent. It’s moving slowly, but Mesut is closer to Fenerbahce than ever. The fact that Mesut’s childhood dream is still alive and Fenerbahce has such a dream brought this step so close for the first time.
