Chelsea defender Reece James was beaten up by Jamie Redknapp for forgetting “the fundamentals of football” after allowing James Maddison to run past him to score Leicester’s second goal: “I see players flying forward, but jog back “
Jamie Redknapp criticized Chelsea’s right-back Reece James ‘poor defense for Leicester’s second goal in the Blues’ 2-0 defeat on Tuesday night.
An early goal from Wilfried Ndidi and Maddison composed all three points for Brendan Rodgers just before the break, while Chelsea continue to struggle and are now in a low eighth place in the Premier League table.
James, who played in defense instead of Cesar Azpilicueta, was caught napping when Maddison strolled into the penalty area and ended with serenity to take the hosts at King Power – and ex-Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Redknapp insisted that the 21 year old must do better.
