Jurgen Klopp reveals Liverpool’s superb return to form came after internal talks to correct the mistake. Reds boss admits, “We said the right thing and maybe it was … they weren’t happy not to win games.”
Jurgen Klopp revealed how internal talks have helped Liverpool rediscover their mojo – and breathe new life into the Premier League title defense.
Mohamed Salah ended a “really big week” in the running for the table with a stunning double when Liverpool beat West Ham 3-1 at the London Stadium on Sunday.
Salah had played six games without a Premier League goal – his worst run for Liverpool – but ended that nine-hour wait with a brilliant curled attempt before completing a devastating counterattack to secure all three points. Georginio Wijnaldum added a third to the visitors before Craig Dawson brought West Ham some late consolation.

Jürgen Klopp welcomed the return of his Liverpool side to form after booking two wins in a row

The Premier League champions beat West Ham 3-1 and showed an excellent performance
‘We scored wonderful goals. All three were amazing, I’m really happy, ”said Klopp afterwards.
Liverpool had started the week without a win in five games and without a goal in four games. They ended it up with impressive wins against Tottenham and West Ham, which means they are now in third place – just four points ahead of leaders Manchester City.
‘We found a way to make the other teams feel uncomfortable again. It was like that in the last two games, ”said Klopp.
When pressured to see what had changed, the manager added: “We have been talking about it for the past few weeks. In the last week we have spoken the right thing and maybe it was. These guys are a really good group, they always work together. They are not happy about not being successful and not winning football games. But they always stay in the right attitude.
“You also need the right information. I said after (defeat by) Burnley, “That was my fault.”
Salah’s doubles got him to 21 goals this season. Since Ian Rush in the 1980s, he has become the first Liverpool player to score more than 20 goals in four consecutive seasons
The Egyptian striker admitted he felt “very responsible” against West Ham after Sadio Mane was sidelined due to injury and Roberto Firmino started on the bench.
