Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have added six of the Liverpool Premier League winners to their 2020 team.
Alisson, Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson and Mo Salah made up the roster, although Sadio Mane was left out.
After their brilliant start to the season, Tottenham had two players including Son Heung-min who beat Mane on the left side of the attack, with Harry Kane selected as the center-forward.

Liverpool dominated Monday Night Football’s Team of the Year with six inclusions in the roster

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville had little argument over who should join the roster

Conor Coady was picked up after a great year receiving a phone call in England
Bruno Fernandes, Kevin De Bruyne and Conor Coady were the other three men chosen by Sky Sports experts to make up the roster.
The main discussion point in the team was the inclusion of the Wolves’ central defender.
Neville said, “I got Eric Dier, Harry Maguire, Conor Coady, Aymeric Laporte and Tyrone Mings into an argument.
“Coady, to be fair with the Wolves’ defensive record, the break in the English team and its stats were as good as any.” Laportes missed games, it just became a choice.
Carragher added: “There is always this question until you have played at international level or in European football.
“I think he deserves to keep up with the international team and his personality in defense. We’re talking about clean sheets. His pass from behind is as good as any other.”

Neville said he just picked Coady ahead of four other Premier League center-backs
Possibly just Virgil van Dijk in PL who is better than CB. This back-five almost chose himself. ‘
The other point of contention on the team was over who should be selected in the top three alongside Kane and Salah.
Neville said, “You can’t criticize Son or Mane, there are no negative aspects, every club in the world wants Son or Mane to play for them.
“But if you take the goal and help, Son has done better, in a team that is not as good as Liverpool but not reflecting on Mane.”
Carragher agreed with Neville when he added, ‘I love Mane but he has a spell right now with a goal in nine games and Son was off the charts, you can’t pick him.

Carragher said he preferred Son Heung-min to Sadio Mane because of their difference in form
What they said about each position
Goalkeeper – Alisson
Neville: ‘He was the best (goalkeeper) by far. Ederson has been superb for a couple of seasons, but his standards have dropped in the past 12 months.
“We are very tough with goalkeepers. If you are a great goalkeeper the difference is off the scale. From a good goalkeeper to a great goalkeeper, the points the goalkeeper wins are enormous.
“Alisson does this week after week. Even with the Crystal Palace game over the weekend, Palace had some chances that if one goal is scored, things can change and he’s saving after another.
‘You went from number two in the Champions League and Premier League to number one. You will never win the league with the previous goalkeepers who haven’t had them in a million years. ‘
Carragher: ‘The big thing for me was that he was at the Aston Villa where they lost 7-2. Liverpool were just as bad, certainly in the first half against Fulham.
‘The difference was that he (Alisson) was in goal. I think more often that people don’t say Van Dijk made the difference in Liverpool but I think it was just as important when he came in.
“When you look at the results with Van Dijk, people feel like Liverpool are out but they are still the best team in the league and a couple of points clear and that’s because he’s there.”

Liverpool struggled in the goalkeeping position until Alisson’s signing in 2018
Defenders – Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Conor Coady and Trent Alexander-Arnold
Neville:“I want to mention Robertson as a left-back who is amazing. For three to four years to do what he does, the intensity, quality and the great thing that he shows for me is consistency.
‘Trent Alexander-Arnold is a star, I am fascinated to think that a full-back can do it, but if he’s looking anywhere to see what he’s going to be in the next five years, it’s the left-back he’s playing with.
‘To be as good as him defensively, as constant as it is intense every minute of every game. Trent Alexander-Arnold has the perfect person on the team to take him to a level and become even better than now, which is a certain level. ‘

Neville advises Trent Alexander-Arnold to use Andrew Robertson as an inspiration for improvement
Midfield – Bruno Fernandes, Jordan Henderson and Kevin De Bruyne
Carragher: ‘You see Henderson, who was featured in Sports Personality of the Year as Sportsman of the Year the other night. De Bruyne picked him for the PFA award and if Fernandes had signed in the summer rather than January, he would have been in the race for Player of the Year too.
“It would have been these three who argued. For me, De Bruyne is the best player in the league. I think he’s going to be a great Premier League when you look back on his time at Man City.
“Jordan, now it’s only when you see the Liverpool team. The best way to describe it is that it doesn’t feel like the same team when he’s not there.
“Something is missing, it gives you that presence and authority in the middle of the field.
‘And Fernandes, I had a debate with Roy Keane about how far Manchester United were from winning the league. Sometimes a player just triggers things. For us it was (Fernando) Torres and (Luis) Suarez when he walked in. So you’re never as far away as you think, and I think Fernandes did the same at United. ‘

Carragher claimed De Bruyne will go down as one of the Premier League’s big names
Neville: There is Pogba, De Gea, Maguire who were all captain and Bruno is the leader of the team who leads by example.
‘He’s a leader in what he does, if he gives the ball away he runs after it. He wants to play a pass that is important, he has transformed the club.
“If he’s not playing, that’s a big problem. And that’s a problem when you almost rely on him. Fernandes was an absolute sensation at United, he’s the leader of that team, even if he’s not wearing the armband, he could be.
