Gareth Bale appeared to be targeting a cheeky dig in Liverpool on Wednesday when he called Son-Heung min ‘Karius’ after spilling the ball during Tottenham practice.
Bale scored two goals for Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League final, which saw Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius having a hot evening in Kiev.
The German stopper rolled the ball straight into Karim Benzema’s path for Real’s first goal of the evening before shooting Bale’s shot into the net to give the Spanish giants 3-1.

In Wednesday’s practice session, Bale appeared to be shouting ‘Karius’ when Son Heung-min dropped the ball

The Welshman laughed when Son managed to collect the ball and then run away during an exercise
Karius, who later suffered a concussion during the game, was replaced by Alisson as Jürgen Klopp’s No. 1 in the months following the final.
He is still in the club, but after two years with Besiktas he will be loaned to the Bundesliga club Union Berlin.
But less than a week before Bale and Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham team take on title rivals Liverpool in Anfield, the Welshman wanted to dig up the Reds in training.
Before the Europa League clash with Antwerp, Bale, Ben Davies and Son were spotted training during the training session published by Spurs.
Davies fired a half volley at the well-shaped South Korean striker who pretended to be a goalkeeper.
