Woman is raped by five men only to be “raped again” when she reported the crime in the latest horrific sex attack in India

A woman who was raped by five men was raped again by a police officer while reporting the crime in India.
The country’s most recent shocking sex attack occurred on November 30th in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The woman revealed the horrific nature of the crimes on Thursday and a police chief has opened an investigation.

The 35-year-old victim from a village served by the Jalalabad police station said she was walking when she was attacked.
She told reporters that five men in a car forcibly dragged her into a field where they were raped, according to The Times of India.
After the brutal attack, she went to the police station where she spoke to a police sub-inspector.
But he then took her to his room and raped her, she claims.
The woman said her First Information Report (FIR) was not registered by the officer.
She then went to the additional police director-general to report the horrific attacks and he ordered an investigation.
India is one of the most dangerous places in the world for women. According to the federal government, rape occurs every 15 minutes on average.
In early October, a six-year-old rape victim died in hospital ten days after the attack. This sparked violent protests in India, during which her family laid the girl’s body on the street.
The girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her cousin while she was at home in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

She was treated in a hospital in Delhi but succumbed to her injuries on October 6th.

According to the National Crime Records Bureau, an average of nearly 90 rapes have been reported each day in India over the past year, but large numbers are believed to go unreported.
India’s 200 million low-caste Dalits have long suffered discrimination, and activists say attacks have increased during the coronavirus pandemic.
