Tesla has acquired Bitcoin worth around $ 1.5 billion as part of an investment policy from Elon Musk-led electric car maker, and plans to soon accept the digital currency as a means of payment for its vehicles.
The Californian company announced the new strategy early Monday in a report to the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Investments in digital currencies and other “alternative currency reserves” could increase.
