Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed Thomas Tuchel’s sacking almost a week after the ax fell against their former coach.
Tuchel was removed from his role just four months after leading the Ligue 1 giants to the Champions League final and is expected to be replaced by Mauricio Pochettino soon.
The 47-year-old left hours after the difficult victory over Strasbourg on Wednesday and secured the championship titles as well as the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue trophies in a row.

The club issued a brief statement on Tuesday that Tuchel had been sacked after an in-depth analysis of his current condition.

“Thomas has put a lot of energy and passion into his work, and of course we will remember the good times we went through together. I wish him all the best for his future. ‘
