Dancing on ice Stars Joe-Warren Plant and Vanessa Bauer withdrew from the series after Plant tested positive for coronavirus.
Plant, best known for his role as Jacob Gallagher in Emmerdalesaid he was “disappointed” with the result.
“After we tested positive for Covid, it now means the end of the competition for Vanessa and me,” Plant said in a statement. “I loved every minute of being a part of it Dancing on ice and I am disappointed because I feel like I have so much more to give and have worked hard to perfect every accomplishment. “
Plant thanked Bauer for being his partner on the series and for being “a fantastic teacher”.
“Although it was cut, I really enjoyed the experience,” added Plant. “Thank you to all the crew members who were brilliant, and especially to the other cast, they have been very supportive and I wish them all the best.”
In her own testimony, Bauer said, “Joe-Warren has grown into such a talented skater every week and I’m so sad that we can’t do any more of the great routines we planned.
“I am extremely proud and devastated that since we had so much more to show, he was the hardest working partner I have ever had.”
Plant is the second celebrity actor in this series of Dancing on ice quitting the show after testing positive for coronavirus.
Denise Van Outen and Billie Faiers also had to retire from the show due to non-coronavirus reasons, as they both injured themselves while training for the program.
Dancing on ice continues on Sunday at 6 p.m. on ITV.
